The first obvious difference is the photo was taken in a black and white profile in camera.
The first mask is empty.
The second mask is an oval.
The third mask is a linear gradient to darken the river a little to help drive attention towards the basilica.
The fourth is an oval to darken the tree a little.
The fifth mask is an oval to bring down the exposure on the farther trees near the bridge.
The 6th mask is an oval to darken bushes at the base of the buildings.
The 7th mask is two ovals to control the exposure on the trees on the right next to the river and a tree on the left, 2nd furthest back.
The 8th mask is a sky mask used to bring down the exposure of the sky.
The final and 9th mask is a brush mask along the river increasing the exposure
